Overview: Postcards in April 2017

One card for every day! Well, almost. In April I received 29 postcards from 15 different countries.

  • Australia
  • Austria (2)
  • Brasil
  • Bulgaria
  • China
  • Czech Republic
  • Germany (2)
  • India (7)
  • Indonesia (2)
  • Mexico
  • Poland
  • Portugal
  • Russia (2)
  • Spain (2)
  • USA (4)

Since many of the cards came through swaps, there were lots of UNESCO cards among them. But, it’s getting harder to receive new sites. Although I got cards of 16 UNESCO sites, only 4 of them are new for my collection. In the meantime, I increasingly look for Tentative UNESCO sites, as well.

  • Fraser Island (Australia)
  • Site of Xanadu (China)
  • Kutná Hora: Historical Town Centre with the Church of St Barbara and the Cathedral of Our Lady at Sedlec (Czech Republic)
  • Monastic Island of Reichenau (Germany)
  • Ajanta Caves (India)
  • Sundarbans National Park (India)
  • Khajuraho Group of Monuments (India)
  • Rani-ki-Vav (the Queen’s Stepwell) at Patan, Gujarat (India)
  • Borobudur Temple Compounds (Indonesia)
  • Archaeological Areas of Pompei, Herculaneum and Torre Annunziata (Italy)
