Medieval Christmas Market in Munich

As I mentioned in my last post, there are lots of Christmas markets to discover in Munich. One of my favourites is the Medieval Market at Wittelsbacher Platz. It is close to Odeonsplatz and therefor not far from the Christmas market at Marienplatz, either. Since that one stretches halfway to Odeonsplatz, anyway, you can easily extend your Christmas market stroll for a special experience.

You’ll find clothes and decorations inspired by the Middle Ages, as well as natural soaps, honey and a nice selection of food. Besides mulled wine there’s also hot mead. In the evenings and on the weekends the market offers music and entertainment, as well. But beware, unless you go on a weekday at noon, the market is bound to be very crowded.
