We made a spontaneous trip to Offenburg. The city is in the west of Germany, very close to the French border. The closest larger city actually is Strasbourg in France. From Munich, it is a drive of some four and half hours to Offenburg. Since we were driving back the same day, it didn’t leave too much time for exploring. But we strolled through the city center and admired the pretty architecture.
The picture above shows the Church of the Holy Trinity, nicely framed by colorful trees. There was a little alley of trees leading up to the church, which made for quite a picturesque view – especially with the autumn colors on the leaves. The church is relatively modern: it was built in the beginning of the 20th century.
