At noon on a cold February day, after a long six-hour-drive from San Francisco, through snow storms and past toppled power lines, we arrived at Yosemite National Park. Driving through the Yosemite Valley, we got our first glance of El Capitan, covered in fog.
We had already come to terms with the adverse weather and the limited views. But then the clouds cleared up and gave way to a bright blue sky. The snow-covered ground gleamed in the sun and we could enjoy great views of the surrounding mountains on this suddenly so gorgeous winter day.
